This website is operated for the purposes of the owner’s professional activity and does not constitute an offer to the public within the meaning of Article 1336 of the Italian Civil Code. The information published is indicative in nature and may be updated at any time without prior notice.
2. Nature of the professional activity
The activity carried out by the owner is a non-medical healthcare profession, governed by Italian Law No. 42 of 26 February 1999 and by the professional profile of the speech and language therapist (Decree of the Italian Minister of Health No. 742 of 14 September 1994). The practice carries out assessment, habilitation, rehabilitation and speech and language therapy intervention.
Under the legislation in force concerning healthcare professions, medical diagnosis is the exclusive responsibility of a doctor. The speech and language therapist carries out assessments within the scope of their professional competence, where appropriate in collaboration with the doctor (general practitioner, child neuropsychiatrist, ear, nose and throat specialist, orthodontist, phoniatrician), who remains responsible for the clinical diagnosis. The terms “assessment”, “pathway” and “intervention” used on the website are to be understood in this technical and professional sense, distinct from the medical notion of “diagnosis” and “therapy”.
3. Editorial responsibility and informational content
The content published on the website is prepared by the owner and by the editorial manager identified in paragraph 1, on the basis of professional guidance and the technical and scientific knowledge considered accurate at the time of publication. The owner takes diligent care to keep the content up to date, but does not guarantee in absolute terms the accuracy, completeness and currency of each individual piece of information published.
The content of the website is purely informative and educational in nature. The information published (articles, FAQs, service descriptions, blog content) does not constitute and cannot be understood as:
- medical diagnoses;
- personalised speech and language therapy diagnoses;
- therapeutic prescriptions;
- individual professional advice in the absence of a direct assessment at the practice.
Where there is a clinical situation or a concern about the health, language, learning or swallowing of a child or adult, you are always advised to consult your general practitioner, paediatrician or a qualified specialist and, where appropriate, to request a direct speech and language therapy assessment from the Owner or another qualified speech and language therapist.
For the areas of the website containing editorial content (in-depth articles, blog), the editorial manager ensures compliance with the applicable legislation on the press, freedom of expression and the protection of the rights of third parties, with particular reference to the legislation on defamation, on intellectual property and to the professional ethics principles of the relevant healthcare profession.
4. Limitation of liability
Use of the website by users takes place under their sole responsibility. The owner is not liable, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for direct or indirect damage suffered by the user as a result of the use or non-use of the website, including, by way of example:
- any inability to access the services due to technical interruptions, scheduled maintenance or events of force majeure;
- errors, omissions, inaccuracies or imprecisions in the content published, subject to the obligation to make a prompt correction once the error has become known;
- damage arising from the use of information found on the website without the professional advice of a qualified person;
- consequences arising from access to third-party websites reachable via links present on the website.
The website may contain links to external resources (third-party websites, articles, videos, social networks). The owner is not responsible for the content, the availability or the personal data processing practices of such third-party sites, which operate in full autonomy under their own privacy notices and terms of service.

All content published on the website, including by way of example texts, images, photographs, illustrations, graphics, videos, audio, source code, layout, and the selection and arrangement of elements, is protected by copyright under Italian Law No. 633 of 22 April 1941 (the Italian Copyright Act) and subsequent amendments, and in particular by Article 17 of that Act on the author’s exclusive rights of economic exploitation.
The “Metalogopedia” trade mark and its logo, the trade names and the other distinctive signs present on the website are the property of the owner or of their respective rights holders. The use of such distinctive signs is permitted only within the limits set out by the applicable legislation on trade marks and competition, in particular by Articles 2569 et seq. of the Italian Civil Code and by the Italian Industrial Property Code (Italian Legislative Decree 30/2005).

- reproduction, even partial, of the website’s content for commercial purposes;
- modification, adaptation, translation or reworking of the website’s content;
- distribution, communication to the public, making available to the public, display, performance or representation of the website’s content on other channels;

For details of the processing of personal data and for the exercise of the rights of access, rectification and erasure, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
6. Protection of minors online
The owner adopts reasonable measures for the protection of minors who, directly or through the person holding parental responsibility, access the services offered. In particular:
- the website’s content is prepared in language suitable for a general audience and does not contain material unsuitable for a minor audience;
- the contact form presupposes, where it relates to a minor, that the request is sent by the person holding parental responsibility;
- the images published on the website depicting minors are covered by a release form signed by both persons holding parental responsibility, in line with the guidance of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante), which classifies the online dissemination of a minor’s image as an act of extraordinary administration;
- complaints concerning the processing of minors’ data may be submitted by the parent or guardian to info@metalogopedia.it and are handled as a priority.
7. Jurisdiction and applicable law
Save as otherwise provided by mandatory rules for the protection of consumers (in particular Article 66-bis of the Italian Consumer Code, which assigns jurisdiction to the court of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile), for any dispute relating to the interpretation, performance and validity of this legal notice, the Court of Viterbo has exclusive jurisdiction.
The applicable law is Italian law, save for the applicable provisions of private international law and the possible operation of the legal provisions more favourable to a consumer resident in another Member State of the European Union, pursuant to Regulation (EC) 593/2008 (Rome I).
For consumer disputes relating to contracts concluded at a distance, the consumer may access the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The consumer may also turn to a mediation body registered in the Register kept by the Italian Ministry of Justice, pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 28/2010 on mediation aimed at the settlement of civil and commercial disputes.
